Bolton-le-Sands Tourist Information

Only five miles north of Lancaster and Morecambe, Bolton le Sands location makes a perfect base to explorer North Lancashire and the Lake District.

If outdoor pursuits are more your style, visit Warton Crag which overlooks Carnforth and is ideal for hiking, climbing and abseiling. The village of Warton, the ancestral home of America’s first President, George Washington, is well worth discovering too. Also nearby is the canal network which links Carnforth to many of the surrounding villages and beautiful countryside.

Don’t miss visiting where the BBC’s 2013 series of Autumnwatch was filmed, Leighton Moss RSPB Nature Reserve is just a few miles away, proving that Bolton le Sands and the surrounding district continue to be a star attraction
